WEDNESDAY, August 31st, from 10-12 is our MOPS open house!!! Please come and register and visit with us!

If this calendar comes out CRAZY, then I will ask the computer/publicity lady to fix it, I have a funny feeling that is what will need to happen! Hope to see everyone for open house!

Publicity Lady here - I think after tinkering with the calendar the formatting issue is correct now.

Recycle your MOMSense Magazine

MOPS moms,
If you have any MOMSense magazines that you are finished with and would like to recycle them, bring them to the open house or any MOPS meeting. Give them to a steering team member so we can include our MOPS meeting information and redistribute these magazines around town.

Convention 2011...WOW

What an amazing time we (Jamie, Amy & I) had at convention!!! We laughed, cried, sang, prayed and learned so much! Thursday morning things started a little crazy racing around the airport, nearly missing the plane. But it all worked out, and then Saturday night (about 9:15pm) in the parking lot of the Austin airport we searched about thirty minute for the car. I wrote down the wrong aisle, C6 instead of C11, opps and we were at C11 space 6... Amy found it! Jamie and I were several aisles away as we hear "I found it" between the sounds of my loud wheels on my daughter's suitcase. (Just ask the Jamie and Amy they were LOUD!)
The speakers were wonderful and had many great ideas on marriage, leadership, child rearing, and the amazing grace of God who gives us a new heart and a new life in Christ.
Exciting News!!! Convention is supposed to be in Dallas, TX next summer!!! Woohoo that is great news, I hope several more MOPS steering team and MOPS mommies will be able to attend!

We are looking forward to a great year and a fun new theme!!!
Momsense= Bold, Loving & Sensible
God doesn't want us to be shy with his gifts, but bold and loving and sensible.  2 Tim 1:7

Travis Cottrell & Taylor MOPS

Look who Crystal & Amy are rubbing elbows with at the convention!

Cottrell was raised in Boone, North Carolina. In 1990, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee to study at Belmont University. After graduating in 1992 with a degree in music, Cottrell dedicated time to songwriting. That same year, he wrote Larnelle Harris' song "It's Only Thunder".
In 1994, the church Cottrell attended to - Two Rivers Baptist Church - lost its minister of worship and, at the church's request, Cottrell spent the next year and a half as worship leader for the church. Cottrell has said: "The opportunity of leading worship at Two Rivers Baptist Church that Dr. Jerry Sutton gave me was a blessing."[2] Since then, Cottrell has also collaborated with his vocals to several praise and worship albums, led by Don Moen. He has also led worship at Beth Moore's conferences titled Living Proof Live since 1998. Since 2002, he has also released several solo albums of praise and worship, earning several nominations for Dove Awards. He has also continued to write songs and provide background vocals for other artists like Amy Grant, Alan Jackson, and Garth Brooks. In 2010, Travis came to JAckson, TN, to be the music minister at Englewood Baptist Church.
